why waiting for paint to dry, ive been painting other things, like this

starting to like my new drawing style, im really trying to just not think so much, which may not be a good thing normally, but im finding my own style coming out of it, which can never be bad. ive been copying other people for so long, nice to see something come out of my brain that isnt 5 different artists recycled into a drawing. like it not, let me know, im still going to do it

Au Revior!!

So this will be my last post for awhile, Sylvie & i are finally moving off to montreal this weekend & who knows how long it'll take before we get the interweb in our new place (which looks to be a huge really cool loft). I start with the nfb on monday & start another crazy chapter, keep coming back here for updates on how things are coming. Now i gotta finishing packing

take it easy & enjoy this, its part of a present i made for my sister's bday that i just turned into something

Get well

A good friend & lady friend of http://airickz.blogspot.com/ has been diagnosed with a very curable type of cancer. I have no worry that she'll recover, the road may be rough, but she'll kick it. So i made her alittle card while i was doing some tests for my film, done in the same style of slapping some colours down & then finding something out of the mess

Raudulfr

Surprisingly found some time to do a piece for http://artjumble.blogspot.com/ , i miss illustrator

& a crazy crazy thing, if you can sit through the drawing, the prize at the end is worth it

im having way too much damn fun with this site

if any of you fine folks are around on saturday night & care to join Sylvie & i in saying au revior to toronto, we're having a party at my place, see the flyer \/ \/ \/

we're moving off next weekend to montreal, its pretty exciting & crazy, but i know we'll enjoy the city.
So come on out & you dont have to bring something french/canadian, but i know the individuals that are actually going to make it in this world will be.

noir

been looking at some noir for a scene in nicks film, those guys knew how to make things look cool.

Ill friday - red

i made this in the same style/technique that im going to be making a film with the nfb in march as part of the hothouse! I splat some colour down & then interpret what i see & then draw. no pre-planning, all instinct. let me know what you think, i have a bunch more

sketch 01_13

just this

inspired

just like the pic says, got to look through elicser's sketch book at work today, fucking wicked, very inspired, did while my updated reel was rendering

2000 hits

woah woah, 2000 hits in just over a year, someone must be looking at this stuff, but barely any comments. Shouldnt be the reason anyway, do it for yourself, but i wouldnt mind hearing what ya think, good or bad, cant really improve without criticism

some marker stuff from the another moleskin, addicted to those bloody books
